Energy Management
Since 1998 Harris County Facilities & Property Management has been implementing an Energy Efficiency Strategy through operation and maintenance practices. This strategy remains a priority and includes upgrading HVAC equipment with high efficiency models as equipment goes off-line; retrofitting facility lighting; replacing older plumbing equipment with sensor controlled models; negotiating with an ESCO for a future energy savings Performance Contract, as well as initiatives and campaigns which educate fellow County employees on energy conservation. Most importantly, the conservation Campaigns that are initiated will reduce our overall energy consumption and save money.
