Building Access Cards are distributed to specific county employees at the request of the department. Access Cards allow entry into designated buildings after hours, or allow entry into specific restricted areas assigned to an employee.
The department will determine the areas where each employee should be assigned access. Building Keys are also issued to employees as needed as determined and requested by each department.
Provided for each department to determine personnel authorized to sign for the Harris County Identification Card, Key/Access Card and De-Activation Form in addition to the Elected Official or Appointed Department Head.
