Change In Harris County Parking Contract

On August 10, 2010 Commissioners Court awarded the Harris County parking operations contract to LAZ Parking Texas, LLC. The specific date of the transfer from Ampco Parking to LAZ Parking Texas has not yet been established but is expected to occur within the next 30-45 days. Further information on this change will be forthcoming shortly from Facilities & Property Management, which is responsible for oversight of the parking contract. In the meantime, parking customers should expect to see no discernible change in how parking operations are administered at County parking facilities, including the fact that parking rates will not increase in the immediate future. Over the long term, the County and LAZ expect to initiate a series of improvements designed to increase the efficiency of County parking operations and improve the level of service to our customers. Please continue to check FPM’s website for additional developments.
